Tribute to Jiraiya

I have been longing to write this in a few months back but never had a chance to do it. I've been spending my 2020 watching my most anticipated anime ever, Naruto Shippuden. One of the most memorable moment in the anime is the death of Jiraiya. I'm sure everyone at least know who he is since he's been a prominent role model, teacher and father figure to Naruto. Besides, he's been teaching a lot of fine shinobi such as Uzumaki Nagato, Yahiko and Konan of Amegakure (the sole creator of Akatsuki) not to mention Namikaze Minato (Yondaime Hokage). He rejected the role of Hokage and nurture younger shinobi to become one. He's a true definition of a teacher and mentor.

Despite being called Ero Sennin (Pervy Sage) he always spare his one true love to one woman, who in return could not love him back. He always ensures the lady of his life lead the best life everyone could ever wish for and always support her in all ways possible. He didn't hide anything from her and always seek advice in all things he find difficult and confusing. He always place his bet with his love even though she never have luck in betting. And the tears of his lady send him to his last journey to Amegakure, where he met the creator of Akatsuki and being killed by his own students.

I might say his stubborn demeanour is actually a strong point in nurturing strong shinobis. He manage to trained his student to be strong dependable individuals with purpose to achieved their goals and bring peace to the world. His search for a prodigy as stated by the Sage Toad at Mt Myoboku had made him dedicates his life to teaching and direct a good mindset to his students. 

Actually everyone's reaction on his death that made my tears fall down. Tsunade Hime (Godaime Hokage) even cried, losing the teammates, bestfriend and admirers is something she could not handle. Jiraiya had supplied important Intel to Konoha and he is the only guy she can rely on everything. Not to mention Naruto's despair after hearing the news. Jiraiya had trained him to be a shinobi with principles, to be a good decision maker and choose wisely in life. The scene where Iruka sensei comes to Naruto and breaking the ice cream somehow makes Naruto reminisce his time with Jiraiya and at the same time reminds him that there are others he can rely on too. It seems like all his teachers is a father to him in their own ways. 

The song in this post is the opening no 6, the episode where Jiraiya is dead fighting Nagato. The song is called Sign, sung by Flow. It is a reminiscent of Jiraiya and his story in Naruto anime. Enjoy.
